Allow we to introduce myself:

Hello! My name is Thorin Kafka. I was born and raised in the dusty mountains of Idaho. I was raised by artistic parents, and had grown up surrounded by artists of many kinds. Ever since the first grade I was going to an art school where I found I had a passion for all sorts of creative pursuits. Of all things, none made more of a personal impact than animated storytelling. I watched so many animated movies and shows, and continue to tune in or go see the latest animated films to this day! To me, animation is the closest thing to real life magical wizardry, and I wanted to dedicate my life to creating animated stories. After finishing high school, I moved to Portland, Oregon to attend PNCA to study character animation, but after having to suddenly drop out I pursued a career in freelance animation! Now I'm living in Oregon, doing what I can to keep making the things I love!

My ultimate dream is to build my own independent studio where I can tell my own stories and help others to tell the stories they want to tell, all while trying to get work to animators unable to move all the way to modern-day animation studio hubs. For now, I want to work for and in other studios to get hands-on experience helping stories get made, and to build my own skillset!

If you like what you just read, perhaps you'll be excited to reach out if you've got a story that could use another set of eyes, hands, or ears on the production! I'd love to help however I can!
